ADC has adopted this
school with a program for 6-8th graders and had a rich experience with
it for many years. Current opportunities include: Make a difference in the community and never leave your worksite! Become an e-mail mentor to one student. A group of Anthony students, who have been selected because of their high reading scores on standardized tests that would indicate a higher level of classroom performance than is currently given, is matched up with an ADC employee. Most students have
a GPA of 2.0 or below. Students need: Time commitment: One hour a week for the school year. This volunteer opportunity is available to ADC employees worldwide. More information:

Judge inventions at Anthony Community Middle School and see how the future is changing in the eyes of middle school students. The Science Fair is one evening scheduled in April. Time commitment: one to three hours. No experience is required. More information:

Judge student projects on a historical theme. Students spend the first half of the school year researching a topic related to a specific theme. Presentations, displays and diagrams are then presented for judging. The History Fair runs during the work day typically in mid-March. Time commitment: One to two hours. No experience is required. America's Promise joins over 100,000 business volunteers nationwide in celebrating Job Shadow Day on Groundhog's Day. ADC partners with Anthony Community Middle School by providing a site for students to visit on this day. Time commitment: One day a year.
